• FormBuilder v2 will run alongside v1 at least throughout 2027 to ensure a smooth transition with a high focus on backward compatibility to minimise the impact on existing integrations.

Background
Following a development hiatus of more than a year, we are excited to introduce FormBuilder v2. This new version brings a comprehensive suite of improvements over the legacy FormBuilder v1, which has not received active development for several years. As with any major release, we anticipate a period of refinement regarding functionality, aesthetics, and documentation.

Gradual rollout and parallel operation
FormBuilder v1 has configured more than 5,000 forms, and we recognise that replacing these will take time. To ensure stability, FormBuilder v2 will be released gradually and will operate in parallel with v1 until a later deprecation date.

Our objective is to ensure that no organisation or integrator feels pressured to convert existing forms during 2027. Instead, we encourage you to take advantage of the new possibilities in v2 for new initiatives and upcoming campaigns.

Integration and Compatibility
We have prioritised making FormBuilder v2 as backward-compatible as possible. Existing integrations should not require updates to maintain current functionality. However, as new capabilities are introduced, they may lead to new requests and requirements from organisations.
